31.03.2011 — Neat secretair

Isabel Ersa Hallerstedt, of Ersa of Sweden, has designed Alley, a writing desk which was developed during a course in Swedish Furniture Design at Lineaus University. Starting with deconstructing the shapes of a Gustavian standing clock in the house of Swedish painter Carl Larsson, the designer wanted to create a secretair for the small modern home.

Alley offers room for a4-papers, books, folders, a 15 laptop and all the little stuff that usually clutters a desk or disappears in drawers. She is neat, airy and only 30 cm deep when closed.
