MAK stands for the Museum of Applied Arts/Contemporary Art in Vienna. The chair with the axe back side was inspired by the colourful expression "a stab in the back". Martin Mostb"ock has tried to understand design as a  an instrument of retribution in this chair. Personal vendettas is revenged by this design object. Do not lean back and relax!
