In downtown Raleigh in North Carolina In Situ Studio has designed the Laotian Restaurant and Bar. As inspiration the design studio used a collection of prints of Buddhist Laotian monks, and the name Bida Manda, which means Father and Mother in Lao. The 167 square meter large dining place is divided into two zones for drinking and dining. The dining space is dividid into three subspaces. Three tons of locally harvested sticks clad the walls in the dining area.
